Can someone please explain to me why it's so important to do this in front of children?
Seems like only a few years ago, they would have been arrested.

A new show featured transgender adults who stripped down in front of Dutch tweens to "give them the opportunity to ask questions" about their naked bodies.
The television show called "Gewoon Bloot" or "Simply Naked" in English, displays nude adults in front of 10-to 12-year-old children who ask the adults questions about their naked bodies and in this case, their "vaginoplasty" and double mastectomies.
Can someone please explain to me why it's so important to do this in front of children?

Not to say that this isn’t over the top, but without context this looks way more sensational here in the ‘states. While I’ve never been to the Netherlands, I have visited family in Austria, and attitudes there towards things like nudity are radically different than here. Many public sunbathing areas feature a lot of topless women, as well as FKK (nude bathing) areas. Pre-pubescent children often are naked there, and I remember seeing it at an urban playground in Vienna as well. The daily tabloid rags had topless models of the day on the back page. Soft core porn on late night network TV - think skinemax, but on the equivalent of NBC or CBS. So they are starting from a very, very different set of sensibilities than us here in the US.
.. because sex change industry is a billion dollar industry.
These people are shameless.
I think for some of the kids, seeing the surgery incisions/scars would be a huge turnoff. I know it would have been for my kids. Actually, I think they'd still be grossed out (and they're adults).
