Is it normal for adults to be butt naked in front of children in the Netherlands?
Welll...in a nudist colony perhaps.
And I can ALMOST see how this is "educational". But it certainly isn't meant for an audience. Maybe a private conversation with children who maybe think they want a surgery...
Outside of america people are not prudes who view the naked body sexually, it is why so many great paintings and sculptures come from europe because they can see the beauty in nudity rather than here in america where we find it shameful and overly sexual.
The television show called "Gewoon Bloot" or "Simply Naked" in English, displays nude adults in front of 10-to 12-year-old children who ask the adults questions about their naked bodies and in this case, their "vaginoplasty" and double mastectomies.
"Simply Naked" was harshly criticized ahead of its March 21 debut, but Dutch public broadcaster NOS said the show is meant to promote body positivity and give children a realistic view of the human body.
My underlining, but seriously notwithstanding these kids being exposed to naked bodies of any type. What is realistic about a fake vagina and a woman intentionally cutting off her breasts?
The show features naked adults of all kinds not just transgender people.

Meant to " ENCOURAGE kids to ask QUESTIONS " . Why do you want them to ask about something they have no interest in too ask questions ? Certainly pushing an agenda .
This sounds like soft core Porn. How many kids that are watching at home are being groomed by some sicko relative or baby sitter? "Are you curious about what we just saw lil Suzie? How about you lil Johnny? Would you like to compare our bodies? "
This is the mission statement from the show. "The aim is to teach children that each and every body is different and that not all bodies are perfect," host Edson da Graça said of the show's mission.
That used to be done just walking through the grocery store when maybe a tall, short, fat, black, pale, tatooed, purple haired person sparked a question from a child. Kids are naturally curious and they will usually ask point blank why someone is say in a wheelchair or maybe wearing a funny hat.
Do we really need to have adults strip down to show the kids what a different body looks like?
You know something they used to do this type of thing 100 years ago and it was called a side show where the Freaks and Geeks, the bearded lady, the claw handed boy, the tiny person or the really tall could be stared at for a small fee. 200 hundred years ago they sold tickets to tour the insane asylum. It seems we have come full circle and something that was once deemed wrong is now normal again.
That’s why I put some context in. This looks far more sensational to Americans than it probably does to most Europeans.
I’ve been to The Netherlands and Austria multiple times and I agree with your observations.
