This guy is in deep doo-doo. Bad optics as they say. A big blonde man's man with one of the cherished coddled demographic in a headlock. You can not hurt the protected beings. It's going to be treated the same as if he killed a bald eagle or a unicorn.

Hyper partisan democrats like Alvin Bragg will attempt to crucify this man. Don't forget what they did to that bodega guy. While he was eventually let go, they did arrest and incarcerate him while he awaited trial. All because he has the nerve to defend himself...

I know nothing about this particular case, as I haven't even seen the video. So I will wait for details before rushing to judgement about the circumstances. But knowing the media's track record, I'm certainly not going to take what they say as the gospel truth. I'm more inclined to believe the total opposite of whatever they are trying to tell me.

when I was at IBM, we used to road trip to NYC down the hudson line, coupla times a month, for grins, especially in the winter (you NEVER goto NYC in the summer - and NEVER EVER take the subway during same - the stench...)

Rode just about every train to every destination and prided myself on learning the system like a native new yowker. I never saw or heard of ONE ACT of violence ever - not to say they didnt happen, but Gulianni had that places sh** wired tight. it was safe. or safe enough for the masses. today, EVERYONE I know that lived there has fled citing one and only 1 reason.

we are 2 years post plague and I see almost daily live shots of midtown at rush, and on weekends dinner hour in theatre season....and its a comparative ghost town. everyone thankfully, is getting the same message.

This is one of those (growing number of) instances where I can say with complete confidence: this is what happens when you vote democrat

Line up all of the usual vermin, Ben Crump, Al Sharpton and the rest of the bottom feeders.

This dude is screwed 6 ways to Sunday. I can't imagine Bragg not throwing the book at him. He did it to the bodega owner, who was "brown", you think a white guy is going to do any better here?

Yup. He is screwed, blued and tattooed.

NYC voters don't take kindly to crime victims pulling out the stops to protect themselves.

I'm sorry but this guy was murdered, bottom line.

This is what happens when f boys like this kid, watch a little UFC or Grappling and try to use it in real life. Under no circumstances do you hold in a choke that long, especially when you have two other people holding the guy down.

This came up as a topic after rolling (sparring) last night at my gym, and everyone, from white belt up to black agreed that this was irresponsible.

If you want to fight and be a hero, learn how to fight properly, and use aggression that matches the danger of the situation accordingly.

I do hope the man prayed for this fellow as he was choking him out. Even though the fellow acting out couldn't breathe or talk, perhaps in his head he could have asked God for forgiveness. Not sure if it counts if you don't say your sinner's prayer out loud... but I would hope it does.

What did the victim do to deserve extrajudicial street execution?

The fool in the body bag will be missed......by no one.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I'm sure he was a drug-using degenerate, like the Second Son, and this time, his number was up.

Both of these posts could be true. I still haven't watched the video. Still not going to rush to judgement. But based on the typical videos I see of the stuff going on in NYC, I expect that we will be seeing more vigilante style justice. New Yorkers are tough at heart and don't put up with messing around. And the victim may well have been messing around and found out the hard way, like the guy who tried bullying the bodega clerk.

NYC is not well these days. It's not hard to deny that reality. And there are tons of mentally ill people left out on the street like wild animals. Sometimes they attack. It's a fact of life in NYC unfortunately and I do not think it's right. The city apparently has all kinds of time and resources to conduct witch hunts against Donald Trump, yet the mentally ill are tossed out onto the street to fend for themselves. Some of them get addicted to drugs, and then have all sorts of other problems. It's a drag on society, but something must be done about this issue of crime and mental illness, which I do believe are related.
