If that were the case, nobody would have a preference. But of course, most DO have a preference. There is a difference in ideology. As far as being pathetic, yeah, both are; but in different ways.

The difference is this: two bottles of wine sitting on the shelf. One (rep) being regular priced and not the greatest but drinkable. The other (dem) lousy, cheap crap with a "free" sign on it, spiked with date rape drug.

No real difference between democrats and establishment republicans outside of rhetoric. Populist MAGA republicans are a different story though which is why there is such passionate, almost frantic opposition to them.

That's why Trump was elected president and that's why he had neither support from the legislature -Democrats or Republicans.

A statement like this could have been said 30 years, however the Democrats have gone off the rails in embracing Satan. Bill Clinton by most standards is a Republican in 2023.

Really the only difference is Republicans are party of no when not in power. When in power they love big government, see what Trump and Bush did to size of government. When not in power they want to take their ball and go home with it. See how the government shrunk during Obama and Biden. Best thing is Democrats in charge with Republicans having enough minority power to gum up the works.

It’s more than just the stock market, which to a large extent is trickle down for monied peons.

It’s more about government contracts - military, pharmaceutical, etc. - and executive pay. That’s where the billions-at-a-time are, and they vote themselves these billions at least once a year, sometimes several times a year if there is some foreign military business venture(s) that they are profiting from somewhere around the world, for example, or twice-a-year booster placebo shots.

No argument here. It's the Uniparty.

They're largely the same. No matter who's in control, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer.

What they do very cleverly is pick a few emotive issues that the "disagree" on. Guns, abortion rights - things that make people really have strong opinions on and what this does is assure you will stay loyal to the party who support your views on those emotive issues, because the chance of the opposite party getting into power is just too risky.

The result is two parties that are largely similar, capitalist corporate backed entities with no threat from any third option, essentially share power because they have successfully divided the people they govern over.

The difference between a one party state and what we currently have is extremely minimal.

He called out the Fed. Res. for what they are, only Pres. since JFK to do so.
Politicians either seek for office to serve the common good of the people; or they seek positions for personal gain.

To reference the OP no difference opinion, it still seems Republicans are more on the conservative side; while Dems remain liberal.
They don't get anymore conservative than our longest running senator, turtle face from Kentucky.
