The lawyers certainly got a lot more than a simple email. When they go to court on Tuesday, Trump will have to enter pleas on all of the charges. The lawyers are entitled to all of the information they need to advise their client.

The list of those criminally charged also includes former democratically elected leaders of Argentina, Brazil, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa and Taiwan.
In the 1980s, Kakuei Tanaka, a former prime minister of Japan, was convicted. And Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel is currently on trial on corruption charges.@
