So single women are to be penalized? They have to go find some “dude” to sleep with to get pregnant ?
There is no penalizing single women. To be totally straight here. Yes, that's what's worked for centuries if a woman wants to get pregnant she needs to find some dude(a biological male), not a woman who thinks she is a dude. The single woman is not "unable" to get pregnant because she is "infertile", she is "unable" to because she isn't sleeping around.
That's the issue here, we effectively have one group attempting to redefine science not based on scientific principles and findings but based on their political agenda.
And this my friends is one of the reasons our health care and insurance is so expensive. The moment my company started covering same sex partners (aka gay partners) our insurance rates went up by 20%. So because some people chose to live a high risk lifestyle we all have to pay for it? That’s the problem I have with this. You want to live a high risk lifestyle, I don’t care, go ahead, but I shouldn’t be on the hook for it.
If your insurance rates rose it wasn't *just* because they started covering same sex partners, which would have had to mean spouses or civil-union partners. There is nothing high-risk about living in a family with a partner of the same sex.

I'm sorry you don't believe that there is a place for loving families with parents who happen to be of the same sex. And another "conversation" reaches a dead end.
Another thought: Now that the liberals and criminals that exist in their realm think that everyone should equal no matter what their choices have been, will Medicaid be forced to pay for these "procedures"? Will the military have to pay for the "procedures" for military members? We all know who pays for "Medicaid" and the medical costs for the military - YOU, the taxpayer!
When I think of all the GoFundMe for sick children whose care is not covered by insurance, despite the parents having insurance, well, I just think that maybe we need to change our thought process when it comes to medical care.
“The average cost of surrogacy for U.S.-based intended parents is $100,000, but it can cost as little as $15,000 or as much as $250,000,” says MaryJane Carnahan, a former intended parent and the founder of The Biggest Ask, a surrogacy advocacy community. According to surrogacy lawyer Amira Hasenbush, J.D., MPH, the total cost “varies significantly by many different factors,” like location, insurance coverage, and whether you use an agency."
In my research, it looks like if you have a "free" woman to carry the baby, that might shave off $45,000, and it looked like some insurance might cover it. Of course, if you had your cousin be the surrogate maybe there would be a way to cheat the system.
I don't know, for the most part, we are talking about more wealthier people than not. A single woman would have to have some serious money to cover the costs, and then pay for childcare, etc., but if Medicaid would pay......... Never say never.
What a waste of time. THIS is what our elected officials spend their time on? Clearly we need a part-time legislature if this is how they spend their days.
Let's see what happens in the Assembly. You know the same Assembly that just recently killed a bill that would have severely increased the penalties for Sex trafficking.
Bet this one sails right on through...

"This bill would require large group, small group, and individual health care service care plan contracts and disability insurance policies issued, amended, or renewed on or after January 1, 2024, to provide coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and fertility services," the legislation states. "The bill would revise the definition of infertility, and would remove the exclusion of in vitro fertilization from coverage."
Diagnosis? Gee, I wonder how much the fertility specialist will charge the insurance company to tell a homosexual couple that they can't reproduce because they are of the same sex. $200, $500, $1000? Nice little racket there.
One of the biggest complaints is the time to see a doctor. So now, let's pay these doctors to spend more time with couples that are NOT infertile, telling truly infertile women(or men) that they don't have time to see them.
