Putting an end to election fraud.

Michigan attorney general charges 'false electors' over efforts to overturn the 2020 election
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...2020-rcna94838
Sixteen people forged documents and claimed to be "duly elected and qualified electors" for the state of Michigan, Attorney General Dana Nessel said

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Tuesday that she has filed charges against 16 people who signed paperwork falsely claiming that President Donald Trump had won the 2020 election as part of a scheme to overturn the results.

U.S. presidents are technically voted in by slates of electors from each state who cast their votes for the candidate selected by their states’ popular vote. In December 2020, as Trump tried to overturn the results of the election, his allies readied alternative slates of electors in several states.

Well then. Pop Guv'na Whitmer for selling prime land to Chinese battery manufacturers.

I imagine a few more states will follow suit.

Odd that people are willing to destroy their lives on behalf of Donald Trump, whom doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself and the wealthy.

I like the lady whose defense is she doesn't know what an elector is and/or she signed the sign-in sheet. I, for one, find it totally believable. Every sign-in sheet I've ever signed starts off with WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, being the duly elected and qualified Electors...

/S

You'd get farther claiming it just wasn't your signature. At least she does have that going for her though, totally not a good liar.

As your post correctly implies, there are certain crimes so incredibly stupid that they leave pretty much no room for a defense to be mounted. When you sign your name to an incriminating document, for instance.

But props to her for being the first to yell "It wasn't my idea and I don't know it was bad - those others did it. I am, in fact, the victim here." Won't help, but it always warms the heart to see Trumpers hsove each other in front of the bus.

It IS ironic that he went on about election fraud, and stolen elections (and even incited a riot over it) and in the end he was the only one guilty of fraud.
