Nobody cares if he leaves the country, that's why.

No, actually, it's as someone pointed out. He is not suspected of murder or rape or child molestation. It is just an exercise to try to keep him from running again. I would never vote for Trump and that's obvious to me.

The best thing would be to let him fade into retirement.

we have people charged with attempted murder out and walking the streets.

It's this lax view our government has on crime...it's not bad so therefore you don't go to jail.

I’d bet the pilot has already been warned to ignore any such orders.
So please give us what you think the chance is that Trump will do this.

1% Chance? 10% Chance? 25% Chance?

Or, he has already got the plane fueled and is taxiing for takeoff?

Zero. That was a hypothetical.

In order for Trump to try to flee, he would have to admit to himself that he did something wrong. He’s far too much of a narcissist to ever admit such a thing, any more than his cultists can.

If the plane is fueled it was done on the backs of the simple folks who sent him their butter and egg money to pay his lawyers.

Because, a few far-left Democrat fanatics aside, nobody really believes that Trump has been doing anything outside the bounds of government, and that he should be locked up.

Only a few of the more hysterical individuals are the ones advocating what you said here. Normal people pretty much ignore them... and for good and sensible reasons.

Trump fleeing the country would be acceptable to a lot of us. The mechanics of pulling it off are not that hard to envision. He would need one, or at most a few, cooperators. Once in the air nobody is going to shoot down the aircraft. Of course the cooperators need to be prepared for a life in exile, or face criminal charges upon returning to the U.S.

The guy owns his own intercontenental jet. He's a huge flight risk to a non-extradictable country. He's pals with dictators Kim, Putin, et.al., who could offer him refuge from US charges. He's wealthy enough to bribe most third world despots.

I have never heard of someone with such charges being allowed to roam loose. The military guy facing the same charges of espionage and having classified documents illegally has been rotting in jail for months. But a billionaire gets a pass. That is not the American way, or it wasn't. Equality, liberty and justice for all - even the politically connected, rich, and powerful.

We imprisoned the duly elected President of Panama in our Supermax for 17 years before he died. Why does a disgraced ex president warrant special treatment?

What we are seeing is a travesty of justice and a pervision of our system of laws. He's been allowed to file dozens, if not hundreds of frivilous lawsuits - resulting in numerous of his attorneies facing charges or being dis-barred. Yet the country, and especially republicans give this man a pass to circumvent our laws and rules, without sanction.

Why is there a special set of rules for Donald Trump, but not for you or I? We throw protestors following Trump's orders into prison for decades, but Trump is allowed freedom with impunity.

Why is that? Why are so many people against equal application of the law?
They're waiting for the election, this farce only purpose is to keep Trump out of the White House again.

Hello - he’s surrounded by Secret Service Agents. Better than an ankle bracelet and much more expensive. He can’t go anywhere.
