Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suggested that supporters of Donald Trump’s reelection are “listless vessels,” a comment that drew a quick demand for an apology by the former president’s camp.
“If all we are is listless vessels that are just supposed to follow, you know, whatever happens to come down the pike on Truth Social every morning, that’s not going to be a durable movement,” DeSantis said in a taped interview with the conservative website The Florida Standard.
IF he had just come out and condemned the lawfare like Ramaswamy did, he probably could have held on to Trump supporters like myself in the unlikely event that Trump cannot run. Better yet, all the other candidates that know that Trump is being railroaded should just drop out in a show of solidarity. And I can only hope that anyone who does not show solidarity falls flat on their face or is torn to pieces by the rabid dogs that are the dems. I'm sure they can dig up a few made up charges to get them on. This is not going to end with Trump. Our country is finished with out Trump in the White House.
Yup. DeSantis is effectively bowing out by making statements like this. Candidates should be hurling insults at one another... Not voters.
Well, referencing the other thread about Vivek, there is something he is NOT doing and that's hurling insults.
He is sticking to the topics and articulating his vision.
Funny that when Trump insulted people the libs abhorred it but if Trump is the one on the receiving end - they are OK with it. It shows what hypocrites Democrats are. Threads like this are started by useless instigators and they are too stupid to realize it sends people to the Trump camp rather than pushing them away.
Bad move on DeSantis's part just as the Deplorables was on Hillary's - he saw how well that worked out.

Well, I think that Ramaswamy "rising" and turning heads may have taken away any chance of his prayers being answered. I always thought he was a "wolf in sheep's clothing" and that there was an "ick" factor going on, one of those things you can't put your finger on, but it is lurking in the background.
I like the governor, but this is not going to help him. Mimicking Hillary is not going to win the hearts & minds of the GOP base.
I get his anger. I doubt he ever dreamed that he would be this far behind Trump.
Looks like the republican party and particularly it's incumbents have reached out to DeSantis to have him rebel against Trump in an effort to prevent Trumps re-election.
Unfortunately neither party-Republicans or Democrats wants to give government back to the people.

It was an idiotic thing to say politically, and something you would associate with something a democrat, or an establishment RINO would say. Just what we need …. another member of the Uni-party totally out of touch with main street conservatives, and a total phony.
