While true, a big part of locating in the South were the tax breaks. The COL is catching up, and bread, milk, etc. isn't much cheaper in Alabama vs. Michigan.

The GM executives have rewarded themselves quite well as have other corporations.

All depends on the numbers for the manufacturers if they can allow the raise, unions always shoot high and the answer will be somewhere in between.

The South has lower COL in general, even for business. There is much land still unused, so giving a plant land is easy, and kilowatt charges (electricity) are far lower helping the plants keep costs down. State business taxes are also far lower.

They don't make $100 an hour. And obviously the workers aren't fine. The middle class deserve better. These CEOs make many, many millions each year. Why is a CEO making 29 million a year. Where is that trickle down economy. Greedy corporations.

Yes, it's the greedy corporation's fault they make +$35 hr They could have the cars assembled in Mexico or China by workers making under $3/hr instead, saving consumers a ton of money

What happened to us not supporting the middle class. They are the backbone of our country. Without them we wouldn't be able to survive.

As we move to EV, Tesla will own the market anyway.

The UAW people I know are not middle class. They are upper class. A couple I know is pulling a quarter of a million dollars together doing blue collar jobs at Ford. I agree with you though. It is because of the "greedy corporation" that they make so much money. If the corporation did not exist, they wouldn't be making that amount of money, and they know it.

The tier 2 people are the ones making significantly less, but that's because of the greedy union, not the corporation that was on the verge of bankruptcy partly because they were paying significantly more than their competition.

It’s not the union. The workers overwhelmingly voted to strike. A strike has to voted on by union members
