One thing you learn if you move to certain areas is don't ask, don't tell, and mind your own business. If you're going to move to the hood and try to be a Karen, good luck. That said, I would have done the same. I have little tolerance for inconsiderate people. They'd all be dead after a certain amount of time. That's why I avoid putting myself in those situations in the first place, LOL.
This wasn't the hood, lol. And the noisy party people were definitely not hood rats. They all seemed decent middle class.
So being a 'Karen' isn't really out of the question , imho.

This isn't the hood, Forest Hills, Queens is a very affluent neighborhood.
The "victims" described it as “a scene reminiscent of 1960s Birmingham, Alabama” going on about how powerful the hose was. It was a garden hose. Even looking at the photos one could tell it was not powerful or reminiscent of 1960 Birmingham. If the pressure was that strong, why were they standing there, over a fence, trying to convince him to stop. I would have gone indoors and called the cops if that water hose was so powerful and the party goers were in danger.
The victim claims the aggressor never even asked for the music to be turned down and the aggressor claims there were 7 calls to authorities made by various neighbors.
The guy should not have sprayed the neighbors but I don't think that warrants death threats and I don't believe the pressure and force from a water hose equal that of a fire hose.

Not only that, I think about this. I think because these were Black partygoers, this is why the term "the hood" was used. Not only is Forest Hills affluent, it's 2.5% Black. Not that many Blacks live in that part of Queens. The term "hood" was only used because these were Black partygoers.

Interesting point. It's also interesting that the fact that the black neighbor was a doctor and the white neighbor hasn't worked in 10 years didn't seem to cause people to think a certain way, so much as race did.
