Heaven forbid queen Pelosi should to abide by the same office accommodations as all the other Democrats and Republicans who are not the Speaker or the House Minority Leader

She'll still have an office (and Representatives get pretty nice digs), it just won't be the Speaker's office. I never knew, or even thought about, McCarthy not taking it over. More power to the new, interim speaker.

Awww, gee, how tragic. Don't forget to take the black cape, pointy hat, and broom with you as you leave.

My understanding this is an office, near the house floor, reserved for the preceding speaker of the house. Now that person is McCarthy. Seems appropriate to have her move, but wouldn’t be my first priority.

that's the way the Hill works. Every 2 years, after the election, 435 Congress people and 33 Senators get to relocate to a "better" office based on a variety of reasons. Many will stay where they are. Hideaways are a perk for senior members and Committee Chairman. Pelosi isn't being treated any different than any other Member. She's no longer Speaker and isn't entitled to any special perk such as a hideaway. There's furniture in Congressional office building hallways from December to early January after every election.

This is easily the best news of 2023.

Nancy Pelosi is an old drunk with undiagnosed mental issues. She deserves no respect, and giving her the boot while she was in CA to grieve Dianne Feinstein -- who technically has been dead for at least 6 months -- is the ultimate sign of disrespect.

Kick her butt out. She deserves no respect.

Why are you Dems freaking out so much - you were all about all the rules and regulations Trump broke when he was in office but now to follow the play book when a Dem is inconvenienced has you upset. If it's the Speaker's office - it's the Speaker's office - doesn't make a difference how long the previous speaker used it or what party they were. If it had been a Republican being asked to vacate the office - you would have all been cheering.
