They've been groomed and institutionalized in a place like San Francisco. Many will struggle come graduation once in the real world because consequences usually follow actions like this.
These are future union organizers, protesters etc. How many doctors, engineers, lawyers in the bunch remains to be seen.
Here is an idea. The teachers should follow those kids outside and have a teachable debate with them. A walkout is like flipping the table and going home because you are losing at the game. A walkout like this comes from a position of Ignorance so teach them.
Of course there are so many teachers that are anti Israel so the kids might never get both sides of the story.
How would these kids feel if their homes were raided and their parents murdered? How would they feel if their boyfriends or girlfriends were gunned down or kidnapped? Would they want revenge or would they sit back and accept it?
Hamas attacked and now Israel is retaliating. Who can blame them?

High school students across San Francisco walked out of classrooms Wednesday to protest Israel’s bombing of Gaza and demand a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war, organizers said.
The walkout came a day after a hospital in Gaza City was destroyed, killing hundreds of Palestinians and others sheltering there. Hamas and Israel have blamed each other for the hospital’s destruction.
Is this the same hospital that actually wasn't destroyed, only lightly damaged when an errant Hamas rocket slammed into the courtyard? I guess I can't expect the kids to have an accurate view of world events when their supposed news sources can't get it right.
"From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!" I wonder how those clueless little idiots would feel if crowds gathered worldwide and started chanting "From the ocean to the bay, San Francisco we will slay!"
Meh. The ones that walked out weren't serious students in the first place. Maybe the ones that want to learn will have a chance to now. A week of suspension won't hurt for the terrorist-supporters as well.
