DeSantis said Trump can't win if he's convicted of felonies, which is a little bit different. Obviously DeSantis doesn't think Trump should be the nominee; he thinks he should be the nominee and I agree with him.
DeSantis's campaign is imploding and he won't get rid of his campaign people who are doing him dirty left and right. He's a joke with the lift thing this week - next week it will be something else.

If Trump is not convicted and the cases all look like shams (which they are) to the layperson, then he's going to waltz to victory in 2024.

If however, they do make something stick, it would be dumb to nominate him. He would likely lose a general.
You really should read the indictments. They are written so that laypersons can easily understand them.
