For reasons not explained in the article, some women decided to start pouring gasoline on the house where MLK was born. The quick action of some off duty police officers stopped this. I'm sure we know what side of the "defund the police" debate the wanna be arsonist was on...

Yes indeed. Never underestimate the left's ability to lie, slander, twist and contort themselves into a pretzel, in order to maintain the false narrative of Republicans as evil white supremacists.
And this forum has some real crackpots and outright racists.
That being said, as a white guy, I see people venting and blaming me at every turn all the time in the news.
Take politics for example, imagine stating you don't like Trump and being told it's because you are racist.
Look around, it's interesting to see.
The crackpots tend to vent here. It makes wonder though.I've dealt with some people getting in my face. On the other hand, I also think about those who might have some bad attitudes, but are more passive-aggressive.
Among the woke leftists, they are turning around at every corner and blaming White males for everything. For them, it is considered "cool" to do that. Even some White male liberals will do this.
And then there are the Tucker Carlsons of the world, using his platform for anti-Semitic and anti-Black conspiracy theories.

I do not know the posting history of all here, but on this thread I see nothing that is "racist".
Pointing out how the left side of America would react if she had indeed burned the iconic MLK house, and gotten away with it is not racist.
Pointing out that the left side of America does not have the racialist "rage fuel" they crave, now that the would be arsonist is known to be black, is not racist.
I see no posts here that claim her being black had anything to do with what triggered her actions (because that would indeed be racist) . In fact I see several posts commenting on her mental state and her veteran status.
I am glad a tourist stopped her, and two off duty cops detained her until Atlanta police where able to come arrest her.
I hope she gets the mental health care it seems she needs.
There is no hope for leftist controlled cities. In Minneapolis an innocent man was beaten with a golf club until the perp broke the club head off beating him and then he stabbed him with it.
The man was by all accounts a very nice person who was willing to help anyone who needed it.
I see the leftists on Reddit found a way to blame this on Reagan because he was the one who closed down the mental hospitals. Seriously, it's Republican's fault. Not everything they have been doing for the last 50 years that has turned Minneapolis into a warzone.

Likely forgotten as it is now the post Saint George Floyd era, but I was there in summer 2002 helping my mother when she was recovering from a bad car accident, and a mentally ill Somali man who didnt speak english went on a rampage on the south side threatening people on the streets with a machete. He then tried to attack responding police, who ended up shooting him fatally. The streets were soon flooded with angry Somali people and local activists, who also tried to turn it into "conservatives" fault that the mentally ill man was shot, and police didnt bring a Somali speaking mental health specialist to "dialogue" with the man. The man was waving a machete at people on the street! It's Minneapolis, so the question I had was "What conservatives?" The left has had control of Minneapolis city council for a long time. The lack of a specifically Somali speaking mental health specialist was on them.
