Good ones. I love both, and I will add a great one by Terry Smith, "Buy quality companies, don't pay too much, then do nothing."

“Even when you’re not in doubt, do nothing.”

Buffett's sloth quote is probably my fave of all of his.

I call the strategy, "Rip Van Winkle your way to retirement!" That's pretty much how it went for me.

One thing I've learned over time is that when darn near 100% of the population is convinced they are right about something..... WATCH OUT.

except when it is something that had a very long history of playing out the way it has , when it continues to play out the way it was , and when it stands a reasonable chance of continuing on


most of us but not all of us knows what happens when we think this time is different

My experience is that quite a few people want to have nothing to do with stocks.

They think the stock market is one huge casino.
