Perhaps Texas can point that out to Putin as he moves his 5,000 plus nuclear missiles in to strategic positions.
China doesn't have a great economy per capita, however it's still a massive threat, and the fact that "our adversaries are now more connect with each other" does not sound like good news.
NATO/USA powers are on the way out. Never in my lifetime has the USA looked so weak on the international stage. Ukraine has been a disaster for USA/NATO prestige as we have all but lost that proxy war. Iran seems to be winning in the middle east, and we are failing by bombing empty warehouses in Yemen trying to force the Houthis to stop attacking shipping tied to US-UK-Israeli interests.
But never in my lifetime have I seen the USA so weak on the international stage as we're witnessing now.

Sadly - It pains me to have to agree but the current US administration is a mess and this is reflected in terms of how the rest of the world perceives the US on the world stage.
How any kind of competent nation can think that Russia, with a weak, archaic, and demoralized military, that uses washing machine computer chips in its primitive electronics, and still cannot overrun Ukraine in almost two years, can take on NATO successfully.
Russia is struggling with just Ukraine, they can't handle NATO.
That leaves nukes and nobody is going to go there.
So, what we have here is an information tactic designed to influence public opinion.
Now ask yourself what is the real goal of putting this info out?
Exactly. Ask yourself what the reason is they would state this out loud.
I think when Trump gets in he has to make it known the USA won't tolerate these games anymore and if Europe wants to play these games, they are on their own.
Russia is already rebuilding it's tank fleet, and other armaments
Well, they kinda have to. But they're not USSR - they don't have the vassal states to suck resources out of.

...and is preparing an economy based on total war, which is what Germany did prior to WW2.
They're also learning that it isn't the 1930s any more. They won by dropping a generation of farmers into the gaping maw of warfare, backed by crap equipment - but in numbers. And by having their Western allies supply them with trucks, aircraft, tanks etc. etc. Russia today is getting ammo from North Korea, not exactly a byword for quality control.
Junk-in-numbers isn't cutting it on the modern battlefield. Saddam Hussein learned that to his loss -as bungled as the occupation was, the superiority of modern gear was evident. And even in Russia, the number of barely-schooled farmhands who can be considered disposable is dwindling in proportion to people with skills necessary to keep society running.
The setup does remind me of the years prior to WW1 where there were many minor conflicts around the world, and the great powers were at each other's throats engaging in proxy warfare through these client states. Until, well, a certain archduke was killed, and sucked in the powers into direct confrontation.

We can "chalk" it up to Obama and Biden Administrations. That is fixable.
They ran/run NATO and have been fighting proxy wars all over the world, thinking nobody would notice.

The problem is that even an unsuccessful attempt will lead to chaos, loss and suffering. We're looking at a Falklands situation writ large - autocrat in trouble dreams up a territorial claim to stoke the fires of nationalism.
Really hoped we were beyond that, at least in Europe, but - here comes another Cold War.
