Judging from the many responses here, heads are exploding as people enjoy saying.
The Supreme Court leans conservative, so if a conservative Supreme Court ruled in favor of Biden's stance then it must have been pretty clear cut.
Our representatives continue to refuse to deal with the issue in a bipartisan way. Now a segment of conservatives are calling upon states like Texas to defy both the president and the Supreme Court and create a war over it.
Since when is break the rules ok by society.
The folks saying this go need to read the "Is society declining" thread.
We are a country of rules and laws.
I think we are a country of selected enforcement of certain laws is a more true statement. The Feds abdicated their responsibility on the border. States are next in line to defend the border, but that appears to be gone now.
Some citizens will lose their **** and start shooting at the migrants next. If you create a vacuum of responsibility then someone or something will fill it.

Ok and who or which group has the authority to charge them ?
Who can make Biden close the border ?
everyone has been silent for 3 years..."What border crisis"
We all know the administration is not defending our borders.
Texas tried their best but the SC shot it down and the SC is right about it.
.
No. Today's Supreme Court is not "right about it" as I documented HERE
.
In fact our very own Supreme Court stated: “Its [power over naturalization] sole object was to prevent one State from forcing upon all the others, and upon the general government, persons as citizens whom they were unwilling to admit as such.”PASSENGER CASES, 48 U. S. 283 (1849).

I dont anyone is interested in charging them. People just want to close the border no matter how. There are lots of gun owners in Texas. All it takes is a few pissed off folks to start shooting. Word gets out back in the homeland and less people come.
Of course we could get the same reduction in migrants if the sanctuary cities stop giving housing and free stuff to them. When rats invade your garage you dont make them comfortable.

You are reacting politically to the decision. From a Constitutional perspective, the federal government has jurisdiction over immigration. I agree it isn't doing its job in that respect, but that does not shift the jurisdiction to the states. The Court is supposed to consider these questions from a purely legal perspective, and from that perspective this is the right result.
But, when the federal government refuses to protect the borders of a state against invasion, TX should have the right to protect their own. I cannot believe this SC decision, but they are all wealthy and enjoy the financial benefits, and probably some other benefits that illegal aliens bring them!
“The Constitution is clear: Section IV Article 4 says the federal government “shall protect each of [the states] against Invasion,” said Rep. Arrington. “When the federal government fails to fulfill this constitutional duty, Article 1 Section 10 expressly guarantees states the sovereign power to repel an invasion and defend their citizenry from overwhelming and “imminent danger.” This resolution affirms that states don’t have to be passive victims of this Administration’s border security failures; rather, they should exercise their sovereign, constitutional right to defend themselves and their citizens.”
"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."
"Abbott on Wednesday declared an “invasion” at the Texas-Mexico border because of the number of illegal migrant crossings. He has sent more officers to the border to prevent crossings into Texas."
I do NOT understand why the SC decided as they did, but again, a lot of people profit from illegal immigration, and they are the biggest supporters. Also, it is wealthy, not so much Dems or GOP that want socialism where they become richer, and everyone else is screwed!
Although, it is now evident that Biden, the federal government, is not securing our border, and doing everything in its power to keep the flood gates open. So, why isn't Biden being impeached?
It is an invasion, and destroying everything along any path it is on!
Send them home, we have needs of our own that are not being met!
This is a pretty clear-cut case. Immigration enforcement is clearly under Federal purview. If Texas wants to put barriers up, it should try to find some other loophole on different grounds.
