"A myth" Sure dude, I see it in person every day in California. Let's pretent it's ok
They're ignoring that some entities have made policy decisions, not written into law, to not prosecute.
These decisions have been widely touted post BLM2020 as *progress*.
Fast forward and now it never happened lol.
Even thefts under $950 should be prosecuted as misdemeanors or "stacked" into felony complaints if there are repeat offenses, he said, contending some officials "choose" not to do so.

Well......its not. Shoplifting being decriminalized is a myth.
You took the social media rumors for gospel, and that's on you, not him. And apparently the shopkeeper lapped up the same fake news as you did, because she also thought its illegal to stop shoplifters.
People should know better by now that there is a deliberate campaign to misinform the population with these kinds of fake news.
Oh word? A "deliberate campaign?" Tell us more, Finn. Who is running this "deliberate campaign?"
Um....there is no law that says you can't stop theft. Every State draws a line somewhere, where a certain theft becomes a felony, and in CA its $950, and anything less is a misdemeanor. Misdemeanors are still crimes, and can get you 6 months in jail, or more if you are repeat offender.
hmm, are you blaming the stores?? Is it victim blaming? It is not nice. Are you saying it is the DOJ issue? They let the criminals off the hook easily. So, are they the same thing
So - the governor was on a group meet call with some mayors, but I believe he forgot there were some press members on the call.
He goes into what he encountered at a Target store.
The first video is the unedited account. The second is from the local news.
It's amazing to me that he actually asked the clerk why she didn't stop him. Did he just have a mental lapse about CA laws?
I think what happened is a spasm of humanity took over his brain. As a human being, we inherently know stealing is bad. That is simple human nature. The laws of CA go against human nature and what God put into us.
He didn't like being blamed for it. That got him going. Well - he is in a position to change the laws and has done nothing. The worker was on target.
Then he asks the question that all normal people ask... why am I spending $380 when they just can just walk in and take it? Yeah - good question, governor.
A couple of comments on the news coverage.
They said... you can't blame Newsom because the law was passed before he got there. Well - how long has he been in office? He has been re-elected. He hasn't tried to do anything about it - but yet brags about being tough on crimes above $950. Big deal. At least the news was honest about other states dealing with low dollar crimes while CA does virtually nothing.
The end of the news segment describes him turning "white" when someone announced there were 30 people on the call.
This pretty boy is dumber than the box, never mind the rocks. Utterly detached from reality, utterly in love with every mirror and camera he sees.
Look for him in the DSM under Narcissism. Or in the dictionary under Unbelievably Stupid. Definitely presidential material. If you're a D, that is.

People with your views are the reasons we have so many problems now. It’s obvious to a lot of people except you.

Really. Can you explain my "view" on this?
I have been around, so I don't fall for these stories as easily as the usual suspects like yourself. People are literally bragging about believing everything they they see in the internet. Its sad. People have all the information they need at their fingertips, and they are too lazy to look into things, and just repeat whatever they hear
