Why do Democrats not see the downside of open boders? (illegal, Pelosi)

Excuse me if this has been discussed as I couldn't find it but found this youtube video as well as reports about this incident and many others. I don't understand the rational of some Democrats who support open borders. These incidents shouldn't have happened but can happen to anyone or their families no matter your political affiliation.
This particular joker should never see the light of day and yet has crossed the border illegally multiple times. Dems - wise up - this could be you or yours. The border has got to be secure - you are allowing this with your rainbow and unicorn way of thinking.
Mind you - like the Democrat said who voted no - there are already laws on the books - but we aren't enforcing them and having an open border makes the law useless as they just come right back in

Democrats are fueled by emotion and feelings. Assuming democrats see the dangers of open borders with criminals and terrorists crossing daily, democrats just want to save-the- world.
There are billions of impoverished people on earth and democrats believe all can be saved if we just give enough American cash to them. Democrats don’t care that the violence, bankruptcy causing, dangers to even their own families, is destroying America.
Democrats believe there is a spot in America that can sustain 8-10:million new illegals every year in America and the financial numbers will work out because they can keep raising taxes. Democrats believe the rich will be fine when taxed at 75-90% of their income since the government “gave them” that income in lenient business regulations or the lottery.
That means an elected official for the Democratic Party fundraises, then sends it to the DNC. Where it's redistributed for the greater good of the "entire Party" This was further facilitated by the creation of Act Blue, which was the payment donation portal for the Democratic Party. Every elected official has a "burn rate", which is their daily cost to run their office, pay their staff, pay for travel expenses, etc, etc.
One of the ways that Hillary Clinton coordinated with then DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to rig the 2016 nomination away from Bernie Sanders ( again, no one disputes this) was to bail out the financially crippled DNC ( Obama used it like a piggy bank) and enforce JFA's to threaten Democrats down the ticket by shorting them lower than their practical burn rate.
If you oppose the Party line, then your scandals might come up against you. Linda Sanchez challenged Pelosi in the open about the Speakership, not long after, Sanchez was under investigation. Eric Adams criticized Biden on the border, not long after, the FBI came looking for Adams. The coordination with the MSM also means bad press is going to hit you hard.
The simple answer is many rank and file elected Democrats don't, in private, support an open border. They know it's insane. But like like Defund The Police ( which was also pure insanity), if they speak up to oppose it, then they will be financially hammered, likely investigated and run over in the MSM. Look at Katie Porter. She went, to her credit, hard after Big Pharma. She completely crushed them. Then Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi went head hunting for Porter.
It's close to impossible for the average elected Democrat to survive politically and win re-election without full Party support. Now from time to time, a Democrat will buckle in public to win re-election, but it's accepted by the Party overall. For example, Henry Cueller in Texas is a Pro Life Democrat. He needs to be Pro Life to hold onto his district. Pelosi let Cuellar say and do things other Democrats could not, because that was the reality of his local base. Joe Manchin was the only Democrat in the Senate who voted for Kavanaugh to get to SCOTUS. He had to do it because West Virginia is hard Red otherwise, and he had to give something across the aisle to appease Conservative voters. So "approved" buckling is accepted. But stuff like Katie Porter basically attacking the big corporate donors who give so much money to the DNC, well that's not going to be tolerated.
You'll notice AOC spent a long time attacking the establishment Democrats on policy, then she magically stopped. She was reliant on small dollar political donations, and they cratered in the past two years ( no one is giving, people are hurting on inflation and people are angry about promises not being delivered) Once her money spigot started to dry up, then she had to start following more of the Party line ( i.e. openly endorsing Biden even though you could tell she'd rather chew on lint than say those words to a camera)
Point to note - Establishment corporate Democrats in office want someone like Katie Porter silenced and driven out of office. That's why the majority of them refuse to speak up.

The goal is power, the Democrats not so secret plan is to flood the country with brown people, bribe them with $$$, give them voting power, and get control of the country for nefarious purposes.
Democrats see the open borders and sinking poll numbers and just calculate how many new voter ballots they need to print to “overcome” voter enthusiasm.
The Dems that approve of the Open Border are dumb. They have big hearts that want to help people BUT they are also the Biggest NIMBY'S thinking that they will not be effected by the hordes of invaders. We are all being effected and this is not going to end well for any of us.
The amount of money that is being spent to take care of our new neighbors is ridiculous and unsustainable. I guess when the emergency rooms are packed, public services dry up due to lack of funding and Taxes rise across the board maybe the Dems will reconsider the Open Border but more than likely they will blame Trump.
