This is voluntary. I would guess there are a number of successful military career people who miss the security and comradery of the military.

Not trying to be funny or insulting, but by chance, have YOU ever served in the military and not a relative of somebody that did serve? I bring this up since today’s military isn’t the same military of just a few years ago and their is a real reason why the Air Force is acting out of desperation.
Anyway!! Security is having a monthly retirement check dropped into you bank account WITHOUT taking any additional risk with your own life again.
Also, if you served more than 20 years in the military, you’re good in the comradely department since you most likely do not have too much in common with today’s youth. And if you retired, I am pretty sure nobody is willing to jump back into all the BS politicking and backstabbing… And now, throw in several layers of WOKE-ism AND unrealistic mission expectations, you would have to be stupid to risk what you already have!!
The reality of today’s military is accidentally using the wrong pronouns and calling a trans “She” a “He,” and facing an investigation or even criminal chargers!! Heck no!!
Yes, this is an Air Force issue and I do not have a dog in this fight since I’m retire Army with 30 years of service. The Left has destroyed our entire Armed Forces with their total and complete BS… And now these same Liberals are shocked that nobody wants to join “their version” of the “new” military or stay in it!! Now the Left is panicking since they really want to start a war, but they’re now realizing there is hardly anybody left in the military to fight it.
So yes, to any Liberal, this is a great idea since THEY do not have any skin in the game AND it’s somebody else that is risking everything. I think that Liberals should join the Armed Forces and actually do something to fix a problem… A problem they caused.
I’m sure simply by the law of averages, they will find a few O-6/Colonels to bite, but that’s about it since they’re high enough in the ranks to blame others for their screw ups.
Today, it’s the Air Force. Tomorrow, it will be the Army and Navy since they are in a far worse shape than the Air Force.
On a side note, the military, through their DEI mandatory training into “White Rage,” blamed White service members for the sins of their ancestors AND now they are completely shocked that Whites are no longer joining in the numbers that they once did! This is why “sheet” is all screwed up!!
Before I’m call a White suprematist, I’m half Black and German with a pinch of Jewish blood, married to a Hispanic and Asian woman, so I have all my bases covered!!
