Pentagon is panicking over Biden’s proposal that would increase water costs by $10,000 per household

Without so much as a whisper of pushback from Congress, the White House is bulldozing forward with a regulatory proposal that could cost the average household up to $10,000 extra in water costs.

...
The World Health Organization now recommends that governments limit polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as PFAS or “forever plastics” that are resistant to breaking down in either the environment or the human body, at a level of 100 parts per trillion. This is the same level limited by the European Commission.

...
And then, there is America’s Environmental Protection Agency, which is trying to reduce its advisory limit of 70 ppt to a hard limit of 4 ppt for two prevalent types of PFAS, PFOA and PFOS, for all drinking water.

...
According to a Black & Veatch consulting report commissioned by the American Water Works Association, the EPA’s proposed standards would increase water costs by anywhere from $80 to $11,150 per year for each household.

The Pentagon is also spooked at this according to the article.

Currently, the EPA limits
  • arsenic in water at 10 parts per billion
  • cyanide at 200 parts per billion

They are shooting for 4 parts per Trillion for PFAS.

It's as though they are aiming to make our lives worse off.

Why is the Pentagon panicking? And this is one of the few things I think is commendable of the Biden-run EPA. These "forever chemicals" are dangerous and I think it's worth paying extra for to ensure their eradication from our drinking water.

We know they're bad for us. Research is indicating they are a factor in gender dysphoria. So Republican anti-trans crusaders should be all aboard for this?

It's in the article. I just chose to focus in the general terms of what the EPA is doing. Apparently the Pentagon has uses for PFAS.

Everyone is no doubt worrying about the impact of such costs upon the proper care of our nation’s guests from down south. Not to fear, the Dems will simply borrow the funds to keep our amigos healthy! Hey! They’re people too and deserve the best!

Heavens no. Packaging, storing, cooking and serving food in a product most made from petroleum products would never damage anything or anybody. The food production and petroleum industry leadership nor any employee would not ever make anything that would harm fellow citizens or their own families. Did anybody do any testing when they decreed fire retardant sleepwear and mattresses for kids?

I have no problem with it.....if the new levels can be supported by scientific evidence.....I suspect the numbers were just grabbed out of the air.
