Not only is it a sign we are in an election year, but it goes to show how fake the democrats are. Can you imagine the outrage if a Republican was doing this? To your point they went ballistic when Trump suggested it. Democrats politicians = fake people. Unfortunately, too many voters get fooled election after election.
Yup...remember Peggy..."Obama's gonna put gas in my car"
Correct, its pretty much stop and frisk. We all know they won’t be “checking the bags” of any pretty little ladies compared to the criminal thugs who will need to be checked.
The left claimed it was racial profiling and unconstitutional last time it was done.

Remember Florida is now sending theirs to do crowd control in Miami along with those sent out of state....
If crime gets any worse we will see average citizens becoming vigilantes. Of course the Elected don't like that so if they are caught they will face far worse than the criminal that just tried to rob, rape, stab, shoot and possibly murder them.
I ride the subway several times a week. It's not nearly as bad as it was say, early in 2023/late in 2022.
This is a good thing to bring in the national guard, and a great crackdown. Most of the subway crime as been mentally ill homeless people, coming up and getting into people's faces on the trains.
There has been a big uptick in police presence on the trains in the past several months, and it's been much better.
This will help continue to drive the crime down.
Yeah, remember when they reduced policing and stopped prosecuting fare jumping on the subway? Then reversed it? That's why it's getting better.
It's funny though because when we have these threads we get:
-Crime really isn't up
-It used to be much worse in the 80's and 90's
-Oh no, there weren't any policy, law or prosecutorial changes causing this.
I get it, politics and people never want to admit to anything but the gaslighting has been pretty extreme.
They need to profile the usual suspects and leave the working people alone.
