Obviouslty I'm not happy about their deaths but I DO wonder if they were here legally. They're receiving assistance from the Mexican and Honduran consulates, who are known for assisting illegals and which shows they are still foreign citizens of those countries. My parents are LEGAL immigrants who are no longer citizens of the countries of their birth and would not be receiving assistance from a foreign consulate.

If so that raises many questions. Did they not understand whatever warnings may have been given because they didn't speak English? I lived in Maryland for many years, in fact only about 10 minutes from that bridge, and the state is definitely a sanctuary state. Why was a state contract awarded to a company that employs illegals? Are they even required to vet workers for immigration status?

Yep, and obviously the leftist that wrote this article cared what ethnicity they were but a righty doesn't dare mention it though?

Then the only two Americas involved were the Pilots - actually, just the one in command at the moment.

Reports say there were two pilots - probably licensed in different states. Maryland and Delaware if the ship was going to use the canal, or Virginia if it had to head south to Norfolk.

Reid, the Baltimore mayor, and the author of the article are using these deaths to push their anti-white racism.

They were filling potholes. Work like that is always done at that time of the night because lanes have to be closed to allow for the material to be poured and set. That takes time and can keep a lane closed for hours. You expect that that work would be done during daytime rush hours?

Not only these deaths are on Biden's hands but hundreds of invaders have died enroute and the children being sex trafficked are on Joe's hands as well.

The key point for me is why the boat ran into the bridge and how do we prevent it in the future.

Ignore, the leftist BS in the rest of the article pretending that Republicans demonize "immigrants" when it is illegal aliens that they object to and rightly so! They were all from Latin America though. Hmm, who knows. Sorry for this tragedy though. What a horrible way to go.
What I heard was the eight people who went into the water (two recused) were city employees. Are you saying that Baltimore hires immigrants (illegal?)?

As far as I know, their status haven't been revealed. However, it has been reported that one of them has been here for almost 20 years so that would put his arrival under Bush.

Saw an article about one of the victims found first and he was in the US before Biden became president. Not sure about the others.

Update: one guy was in US for 19 years, another guy was in US for 17 years. Another was working for his employer for "at least 3 years". Not sure about the others.
