I agree.

And in any case he should stay the devil away from the s hit show of the US presidency.

If he follows that path he can do much better for Florida.
The angel and the devil sitting on his shoulders each whispering in Desantis ear.

Yall also realize they could be talking strategy for making sure FL stays in the red column with the fewest dollars spent so they can fight in closer states... right?

Give us your top 3 VP picks for Trump. I'm honestly curious. The left will continue to try ripping anything they can apart like the vicious SOB's they are, so who are you Best Three choices to win over moderates?

It must be a VP candidate that can help Trump win, but that can also run the country if called upon. Unwaivering loyalty goes w/o saying.

Tim Scott, & Bryon Donalds fills the bill, & "lying Ted" Cruz could deliver Latino's, & bring a lot of legal expertise to the table.

Don't underestimate the bolded...Trump's not stupid. Helping him win is #1, but running the country is a close #2.

What am I missing or forgetting?

Why are people thinking he needs to pick a VP when it seems he will be in prison or still in trial?

This has to be driving the squad, Pelosi, Cheney, Schiff up a wall waiting for a trial before November.

Can he be POTUS if he is found guilty and they throw him in the slammer?

I don't know the stances of all of them, but someone who will appeal to suburban women, certainly. I'd say Nikki Haley but I know that's a no go. Maybe Elise Stefanik, but again I don't know that much about her record. But DeSantis is not going to appeal to suburban women as he tried to go for the 6 week abortion ban, among other reasons they don't like him much.

Well, let's see. Let's apply a little logic here, shall we?

First, in order to get pregnant, a female must first engage in sex with a male (excluding artificial insemination) right?

OK, so a female, for whatever reason or urge, decides to engage in sex with a male. How many ways are there of preventing pregnancy? Umm, just off the top of my head, I'd say there are at least a half dozen. For example: condoms, vaginal foams, IUD's, birth control pills, and perhaps a few others that I can't think of at the moment.

Further, let's assume that the female decides to use NONE of the available birth control methods and finds herself pregnant. Umm, now what does she do?

Well, according to the latest information I can find on the subject, there are 36 of the 50 states that allow abortion on demand (with some restrictions on how far along she is). OK, so this means that even if the female took ZERO precautions and her partner took ZERO precautions, and she finds herself pregnant, she should still be able to easily get an abortion in 72% of the states in the US.

OK, but let's suppose that the female is in one of the 14 states which don't allow abortion on demand. Can the female LEGALLY travel to another state to obtain the desired abortion? The answer is "YES". "No state currently outlaws traveling for an abortion (as of July 2023).

But suppose that the pregnant female has no money. Can she receive financial assistance to travel to another state for an abortion? Again, the answer is "YES". There are numerous organizations that provide financial support for women who find themselves pregnant but with no money to travel or pay for an abortion.

Soooooo, with all these ways of preventing pregnancy coupled with all the ways of getting abortion assistance even if the female doesn't take effective steps to prevent the abortion, there are STILL numerous ways and places for the female to get an abortion if she so desires!

So, why in the world would ANYONE claim that they are basing their voting decision on the basis of abortion with all these facts that show that abortions are readily available for just about anyone who wants one, and if you can't afford it, then there are organizations that will help pay for it or pay for it entirely????? Makes no sense at all to try to use the "But I can't afford an abortion" excuse.

As the old saying goes, "That dog won't hunt!" In other words, that's just an EXCUSE without merit. So, if you want to vote for the leftist, socialist, Democrat who is running for whatever office, then at least have the guts and integrity to give a VALID reason for doing so because the "abortion" issue is totally an invalid reason for voting for the leftist/socialist/Dem.

I'm not here to debate abortion access, just listing it as one of the reasons why DeSantis won't appeal to suburban women, and since that's Trump's weakest area, he'd be wise to pick someone who has broader appeal. You can see for yourself how abortion policies affected the mid-terms.

Well, I wrote about 10 paragraphs above explaining WHY abortion is not a valid reason/excuse for not voting for DeSantis whether you're a suburban woman or an inner-city teenage girl. So, since we've logically ruled abortion out as a legitimate reason, what are these other reasons, in your opinion, that suburban women won't vote for DeSantis? I'm willing to discuss it if you are.
