That's exactly what convenience abortion is. So a society that embraces convenience abortion has already embraced the concept of killing others one happens to deem to be an inconvenience and/or is making one's life seem difficult. So why is anybody surprised that anyone who feels similarly about others would NOT hesitate for even a split second to kill others?

What can be done to change this mental, deranged mentality?

A case like this goes beyond BANNING GUNS. The kid stole his grandfathers car and could have just as easily driven it onto a busy sidewalk or plowed into a line of kids getting onto a school bus.

We are suffering a serious disconnect between Life and the Feelings of a deranged, hopeless individual.
Our society, in general, doesn't value human life. There's really no coming back from that.

Yep, something has seriously gone sideways with todays youth. We had another mass shooting here in Detroit the other night. Two teenage (18) women, one pregnant got in a fight. The loser of the fight called a friend (male) also 18, he showed up and started shooting. Hitting the one girl, and his friend, along with two children ages 3 and 6. This all went down at 9 at night in a park. Later details came out that the children weren't even with the group, they were random bystanders.

This is what happens when people push the lie that these incidents are a normal thing in a society that allows gun ownership, and will continue until we vote for enough Democrats for the government to be able to confiscate all guns. Besides the multitude of unhinged, insane stuff going on in the shooters' brains, I also believe most of them have one semi-rational thought, and that's "well, if I'm going to live in a world where people are executing groups of innocent schoolchildren, I might as well be the one doing the executing, at least it gives me a thrill and some recognition."

No one should ever think this is normal, even if guns were literally growing on trees. The media deserves a tremendous amount of blame for it being this way.

The solution I favor is public execution of the perps, regardless of age, and with at least as much media coverage of the public execution as of the shooting itself. It's clearly too much to ask of the media to stop putting a false narrative out, but giving them the opportunity to cover a public execution would help balance out the overall story while still letting them get their clicks and views.
They don't get to take our Constitutional rights away.

The government did not give them to us, they can not take them away.

You go ahead and try that, watch what happens.

14 year olds with guns are probably the most dangerous person out there - they have the ability to murder you, and none of the impulse control.

And I agree with his anger that he was named Damian. Incredibly negative connotation.

We need to stop this madness by arming the school.

It really has. It’s not just an American problem or a problem of access to weapons.

Violence has become the way for youth and young adults to settle beefs, to cope with the world, and to make some kind of twisted mark.

In Australia we don’t suffer a lot of mass shootings, but we are seeing a serious trend in violence at schools and amongst young people - against the community, and against each other.

There also an alarming and increasing trend in domestic violence against young women. A woman has been killed every four days since the beginning of the year.

I don’t know what the cause is exactly, I don’t think anyone does. But I feel there’s a connection to the lives lived online, easy access to violence, posting oneself engaged in violence, access to porn degrading women, access to angry men online like Andrew Tate, who despises women and gives young men a self righteous sense of injustice, to blame their issues on women, to feel like a girlfriend owes them what they want and if they don’t get it, they’re justified in violence.

But it’s not just men, girls are becoming increasingly violent against other girls as well.

I’m not sure if some of it is that we’re more aware than ever, if there was always this going on under the surface of polite society, but it seems out of control and todays kids seem lost and act out in ways we couldn’t fathom when we were younger.

I know people will blame parenting, and teachers, and lack of discipline. But I don’t know that that’s it. I don’t think parents have become less caring and vigilant. There’s something deeper going on.

You and I actually agree on this. I do think it's a combination of what's out there on the net, the covid lockdowns, the drugs a good per centage of these kids are on, the lack of religion and the breakdown of the family unit.

Women wanted kids but careers too and the kids suffered - sure the parents were able to buy them things they might have not had otherwise but that was traded with less bonding and family time, less supervision and now due to the economy - I see more 2 income households than I see one.

Mom and dad come home and there are still household choirs to do and the kids are often forgotten about.
