Considering the nature of the case I feel the sentence was far too light and should have included a stipulation that upon release from prison he was to be sent back to China and his passport and visa permanently revoked. Universities in USA should be cautious about the Chinese and Islamic students and faculty they allow on their campus. If not careful you could be admitting hardline PRC party members who may also be agents or they could be admitting hardline Islamist who hold radical views and beliefs that align with Islamic terrorist organizations.
