Big props to the officer that actually picked up that screaming woman and carried her away. That's above the call of duty, in my book. I also get a chuckle out of them declaring their position ... "I'm a professor! I'm a professor!" That sort of thing didn't work for Reese Witherspoon when she was stopped for DUI. (Do you know who I am?) What makes those people think it will work for them?
Well they are leftist teachers in a safe space bubble with a pre-made steady supply of students they wouldn't otherwise have access to.
It is no wonder they get this holier than thou superiority complex thinking the laws and the laws of the Private school( who are also guilty of enabling) do not apply to them.
Rita is awesome. Now, is Sky News like a parody show in AU ? One that just makes fun of the stupidity that happens here in the U.S. ?
That first clip where the cop took down the moronic professor....he should never have been so rough. He should have given here two or three chances verbally, and if she didn't comply by then, just taz her until she does. Same with the dude that had to be picked up. Either walk like an adult, or taz until you drop, then get dragged by the pony tail.
The sad thing, is there are families that write checks to these institutions so little Johnny or little Suzie can be indoctrinated by these entitled adult cry babies.
These kids are young adults when they go to college. They can even enlist and go to war. But please tell me why professors are toxic.
A decent article from 2018, explains the transition we are or have been seeing in our colleges.
"When the term “Western civilization” is equated with racism, cultural superiority and pervasive oppression, and students in my political philosophy class refuse to study the works of John Stuart Mill or John Locke (or any other white thinker) because they consider them white supremacists, there is no lower level of educational hell. The manifest destiny of the humanities and social science professoriat is to have politicized knowledge supersede truth, objectivity, facts and genuine learning.
Cultural Marxism, defined as anti-capitalist cultural critique, is the educational trope that mediates all forms of learning in today’s universities — and it is simply a guise under which to politically indoctrinate students into becoming socialists who will do anything to prohibit freedom of speech on college campuses. We are witnessing a generation that will not tolerate other perspectives, students who will not hear opposing ideologies."
Believe it or not, that is up to you. I think it's pretty obvious that it is happening, and IMO, this change really started ramping up around the late summer of 2014.

Also, scroll down slightly on this FIRE University Faculty Survey's key findings. It's net-chilling, if you ask me. Then combine that with the prevalence of mental health problems in teens & young adults. I won't lay the entirety of blame with educators (many of whom are victims of the same system they now inhabit), but to pretend there's no correlation with the folks with whom our kids spend half their waking day would seem disingenuous, I think — particularly when there's such an enormous disparity in political representation in the profession.

Agreed. There are many factors that contribute to what is happening in our society, much of it perception or misinformation, parroted by social media. And many other real factors. Just look at the high rates of student loan debt, the cost of pretty much everything being high, how hard it is to start out as a young person, home prices, etc.
I follow a YT channel , SOC 119, which is Dr. Sam Richards from Penn State. and I can see from some of his lectures, he will bring up a controversial topic, ask the students what they think, and they are already bias, and he tries to educate them on both sides. So, if one is already set on a path, from being told something their whole life, seeing the same misinformation on social media, struggling to get through their day to day lives, it will be hard to change that bias. And now , again with social media, it's pretty easy to find a group that will affirm pretty much anyone's thinking.

I never knew this guy's name, but I've seen him on my YT feed all the time. Great speaker and I am surprised he isn't canceled by now. He sometimes brings up the same observations as other more boorish types, but he says it so soft he gets away with it

Not all, but some clearly are and I say this as a 1st generation college grad back in the 90s, I'm open minded, know how to think on my own considering lots of variables and was ablle to resist most of the liberal indoctrination though.
This was answered premptively in #31
The attack is founded when thousands of students graduate from these institutions with degrees that only qualify them to get jobs teaching the same nonsense to the next crop of students.
I'd been saying for quite a while that professors are a toxic element in our culture. Now the evidence is getting clearer.
Indeed, it's unfortunate that we no longer can trust the leadership at many of the universities anymore.
