Tony Snow, the former White House press secretary and conservative pundit who bedeviled the press corps and charmed millions as a FOX News television and radio host, has died after a long bout with cancer. He was 53
Tony knew the cancer risks inherent to his family, and although he did everything right, God's time was for this young brilliant gentleman different than ours.
I helped bury a beautiful young professional educator in June of 2007. She had only waited (it paid after 50 plus a little put off time) so her health insurance would pay for the colonoscopy. Had she gone immediately at 50, she would likely still be with us according to her physicians.
I take this moment to ask you to get the colonoscopy.... It's painless.

Hopefully his life and medical insurance carrier will treat his family better than they treat the families of working Americans because of the policies that he and Bush advocated. Other than that, it is one less Republican vote in November.
I think this might wake up 3 friends of mine who are well over 50 and have not been checked, and 2 of them still smoke. They have come a long way on these procedures, as my first one was in 1991. Most recent was in Nov. 06, and the procedure is very easy. Tony was one of the most competent news personalities. Caught an interview with him some time ago with NBC's David Gregory and he was still very upbeat and positive about his future. What a great attitude he had! RIP, Tony.
