Prolonging their stay 'would cause problems,' al-Maliki says in interview.
BAGHDAD - Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki says U.S. troops should leave Iraq "as soon as possible," according to a magazine report in which he also called presidential candidate Barack Obama's suggestion of 16 months "the right timeframe for a withdrawal."
So if BushCain (since it seems all McCain wants is to continue Bush policies) doesn't pull out and decides to insist on "victory," whatever in hell that's supposed to mean in this war, that would kind of undermine the whole argument that we are anything but imperialists in a foreign land against the will of their people.
Anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm mistaken here somehow.
You just know that some people are going to refute the prime minister...the PRIME MINSTER for gods sakes! Hello! What is it going to take to leave there already?
I don't recall anyone requesting our liberation efforts.
If the Iraqi government wants us to leave, then we should pack up and leave. To stay would affirm our mission as being an occupation force and nothing more.

Members of the Iraqi Parliament have been wanting us out since 2005 and earlier. At first it was a small segment, then it got larger, now, it's the Prime Minister. Maybe we should listen this time around.
This has been what Bush has said all along - success on the ground = troops coming home.
