Sunday morning, a whole lotta ugly entered the church's sanctuary in the form of a man who was angry about "the liberal movement (broken link)" and its tolerance for gay couples, among other things. The man started firing a shotgun he bought from a pawnshop. He killed two people and injured seven others before he was wrestled to the floor and later arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Adkisson, who had served in the military, said "that because he could not get to the leaders of the liberal movement he would then target those that had voted them in office," the search warrant states. Among the items seized from Adkisson's house were three books: "The O'Reilly Factor," by television commentator Bill O'Reilly; "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder," by radio personality Michael Savage; and "Let Freedom Ring," by political pundit Sean Hannity. I agree but what about O'Reilly, Savage and Hannity,,,those who inspired this act by their yellow journalism?...that is not to say that liberals do not participate in yellow journalism as well but this is over the top. Free speech is wonderful but when one abuses free speech he or she must be held responsible. A true conservative, like George Will, would not write or speak the filth that comes out of the mouths of these charlatans.
Why can't you conservatives admit that the guy was a conservative? Or do you think conservatives are incapable of being nutcases?
Prove that he was. Too many liberals trying to use 1 deranged lunatic to wet a wide brush and paint all conservatives with. Liberal fearmongering at its finest. I guess we should look into banning free speech and the right to bear arms due to this. Would suit a lot of liberals just fine.

Are you following the story? He hated liberals, democrats, gays, blacks, read books by savage, hannity etc. Nahh he was a democrat and a liberal.

Clearly he has problems beyond being a conservative. But not only is he a conservative, his murderous rampage was motivated by his conservative ideals. You hear hate on this forum that is very similar to the words this guy is saying. Granted, that leap from words to action is a big one, but there are obviously a lot of people in America who think that Liberalism, Liberals, and Obama are a real threat to this country's existence. And at least one conservative was willing to do something stupid about it.
The last paragraph and sentence in that article was phenomenal!
