i finally get it, there is only one real party in DC. fair enough there are disagreements within but nothing they they don't "quid pro quo" out.

repubs say we'll go along with social housing ie 'freddie and fannie' if you dems go along with the 'Patriot act'. dems say we'll continue to fund the war if you republicans go along with the bailout.

what's next? dems will vote to repeal 'roe v wade' in exchange for the 2nd amendment? or maybe the gop will concede immigration controls for anwr?

the bottom line is that none of these politicians have any core values. they are sent to DC by the constituencies to vote on the grounds they campaigned!

You just noticed that the US is run by the American Greedy Gamblers Party. The AGGP simply controls both the Republicans and the Democrats. The difference between the latter are that more Republicans think the AGGP is right and proper so they give money to their wealth friends and the Democrats go along to get something for their less than rich citizens.
