Why are white people not offended by slurs like kracker, honky or white trash?
Racist/ Nazi, is probaly the most offensive slur to a white person
Its not that we arent offended. Its that we are civilized & words alone dont drive us to violence. Most Black people are the same.
Its a small percentage that rise to the sensationalism created by Al Sharpton & those like him.
Words are words & if you let them create hatred in your heart you need help.
Speaking as a white male in Canada, those ethnic slurs are offensive to me at least, fortunately very rarely has anyone called me that. Really slurs are fighting words and are most often uttered when someone is trying to start a fight or really pissed off. However if some random person just came up and said that to me, I wouldn't give them the benefit of wrecking my day, I'd just tell them to p*** off
Personally I would consider the opinions of anyone who uses such terminology irrelevant. Ignorant commentary reflects ill upon the commentator rather than the target.
Because those names don't hold any sort of real cultural significance to us. Louis CK said it best. He said that, as a white man, you can't hurt his feelings no matter what you say. If you're a white man and you had a time machine, any time period you go to would be awesome. You could go to the year 2 and they'd have atable reserved for you. Cracker is ridiculous because what does that mean? It takes us back to the days of owning slaves and property. Man, what a way to hurt me! I should be so lucky to be called a cracker!
And "white trash" is pretty ridiculous, too. If you're not white trash, you know you're not, so that's empty name calling. And the people who ARE white trash probably don't care if you call them that.

Being white I have accepted the white guilt of being white. I should just shoot myself and end my terrible existance. Or maybe I'll just stay employeed and pay my high taxes to pay for the a-hole who just called me a honky.
This world is full of trash and really nice people. It's up to you which one you will be and the words you use to describe a person.
I prefer words like Socialist pig!!!

I dont think that there is a single term that insults white. We actually laugh at most of them and the others just dont sink in I guess. Americans for some reason have the unique ability to make fun of almost any country. We have the best comedy in the world, and cut-downs and racial humor is what were very good at.
At least thats my take on it.
