Really funny all the talk about earmarks and names be named. Who is going to be upset and vote their representative out of office for requesting earmarks for them? Others may get upset but they can only voter for their own representatives. It is the congressman who doesn't request earmarks for their constituencies who might be in trouble not the ones who do.

earmarks are how states get their greedy little hands on federal money.. Instead of money being given out according to population, or industry, or economies of scale.. it goes to who can pull the most strings.. it is what it is.. it definetely has become "the process" but that still doesn't mean it isn't corrupt. And if you're all about fighting corruption and earmarks... don't have a record of accepting them.. or being govenor of the state that has recieved the most per capita.
