They already do... so why not just legalize it? Have them follow rules like in Amsterdam. In fact, it would probably reduce the amount of people openly plying their trades on the street, they'd just set up shop somewhere. Safer for everyone involved too.

Opens a door to what? Less crime? Mandated STD testing to stop the spread of HIV through sex workers?

Hate to break it to you, but prostitution is going to happen regardless of whether or not it's legal.

Opens the door to child protitution, bestiality, necrophelia et al...do you really want that? Of course not, but its going to be difficult to overcome because you said prostitution is ok...

How does legalizing prostitution open the door to legalizing NECROPHILIA and sex with children? That is SOME stretch.

Sex between consenting adults is legal. Paying for it is not. Necrophilia and pedophilia are ILLEGAL and both parties cannot consent.

Are necrophilia, pedophilia and bestiality legal in Amsterdam, Nevada, Australia, Greece, Switzerland?

You know there is a law against bestiality in liberal CA, but not in red ol' TX?
