Ron Paul is right about 99% of things. Which is exactly why he won't win. Let's face it, Americans want their freebies and entitlements and don't want to earn it. We get what we deserve.

I'm researching Austrian economics more and more as the world goes down a giant banker toilet and I'm sort of liking what I read.

/\ Are you really that special ed? Can you not understand a figure of speech? Stop embarrasing yourself.

Anyway, People need to own up to a truism: Life involves competition. Some people will be on the top and others will be on the bottom. When someone says "We should care for each other", I happen to think the US does a very good job of it. As someone who was at one time homeless, I have a vastly different definition of "Poverty" than the pesudo-activists that pollute our political landscape. As far as I'm concerend, I have a clean, safe dwelling, access to nutrious food, a free education, chothes and the freedom to pursue my life as I see fit. Is America paradise? No, more often than not, it's a struggle. But I thank god I'm here and somewhat cared for.

Do I like to compete? No, I do not. If I could, I would frolick and play all day. But I believe it is the height of arrogance to force others to submit themselves to a lower plane of existance (which is what socialism does) becuase I choose not to better myself. If someone defines happyness by how many BMW's they own, then so be it. I have no right to tell them how to live their lives or view society.

The only thing I'll say is that we should find a way to make sure everyone is fed, clothed and sheltered. And for the most part, we've done that. On this issue, I am a collectivist. However, when I see people in places like South Side Chicago (Obama?????) complaining like they're in the third world while they have cars and PSPs, It does vastly more harm to the comapssionate cause than good.

Can't people still vote for him if they want to? I seem to recall on a website somewhere that he is still considered an candidate although not actively campaigning. Considering the options, I'd vote for him.

People can write in whoever they want, but why even bother if it wont count - although you could make a case that any vote is suspect now.

Nobody knows., Try to find out what happens if you write in a name in your state, try to find out if it is counted as a vote or just a spoiled ballot. Good Luck.

What do you think we have in this country, free and fair and honest and open elections? Don't make me laugh.
