Seriously, I do not think we really need to worry about communism in this country regardless of what the fear mongers keep stating in the media.
A modern form of fascism on the other hand, I am definitely more concerned of. In fact, we are seeing a gradual shift towards that direction and many people do not even realize it. One just has to look at the characteristics of a fascism government similiar to Germany with Hitler and the direction our policies.
Fascism is basically a totalitarian nationalist ideology that has the following characteristics:
* NATIONALISM (PATRIOTISM; Look at our banking system it is going in that direction)
* MILITARISM ( It is usually done with FEAR on an enemy. )Enemy could also be the american people if it threatens change.
* CORPORATISM (LOOK AT THE POLICIES THAT ARE BEING PASSED)Those are really the folks behind self-serving policies being passed.
If this country changes in another direction it would probably be something like a Democratic Socialist form of government or a modern day Fascism. It seems we are moving towards fascism faster than Democratic Socialist.
Communist, no way. With the Corporate influence in this country NO WAY, that is why FASCISM is very realistic.
It's not very far off, except for the voting. As long as we can vote we won't be fascist, but fascism and America have never been too far off in America has always been run as a business, with an executive, etc. Please don't allow connotation to make this sound ridiculous: I have said nothing of Nazis or ethnic cleansing, just the basic ideas that fascism as a political system is built upon. But again, fascism requires authoritarianism, and as long as there are elections that simply isn't the case.

What a quaint little comment.......Have you ever considered, left wing, right wing, they're both controlled by the same brain....there's your authority, and that simply IS the case.
Ah c'mon now OB, don't spoil the rightwinger's fun by calling them fascists... Gee, that's not fair. You're supposed to be a good meek little liberal and bunker down when you hear them shriek about CommuSocialism! Please don't rain their McCarthyist revival parade, they've got no other rabbits left in their hats.
C'mon dude, Hitler is dead, the Red Menace is real. You need to watch more O'Reilly.

Those are very good observations on your part. Wish more people were paying attention.

You are more concerned because you are a left wing liberal. BOTH forms are totalitarian. BOTH are bad.
Based on my observation are suggesting that I am a left wing liberal?
Maybe I am, maybe I am not, maybe I am somewhere in the middle.
Do you disagree with my observation? Or are you a BLIND PATRIOT?
Or maybe you are ignorant to FACTS.
It is interesting that you can form an opinion of my political views by this post. It is also interesting when someone loosely throws out the word liberal, communist, socialist, when someone has a different point of view.
One final question, are you maybe in fact (PRO FASCISM)? Or maybe you do not have an intelligent response or the ability to disprove my observations and like throwing labels loosely.
Fascism was defeated in World War II, Communism was defeated after the Cold War. Grow up and stop abusing those labels.
