Reagan is the one who put thousands of MI people onto the streets, as an FYI.

It would not be a choice for the Godvernment to come to you and say that you have to pay for them.

Which brings up a question that I've had in my head for a while now.

Take the example of the poor person in the quote. How is it possible that nobody in this person's entire life is willing to help? So we are assuming that this person has failed to the point that they cannot get health insurance. Okay, I bite. Are we now to believe that this person has no children, parents, extended family, friends, co-workers, minister, neighbor, milkman, etc. that are willing to help them through difficult times? This person must be a real a-hole. Either way, there is nothing from stopping this a-hole from making an arrangement to pay the bills when he/she is able to. Whatever.
Wow, just wow. Do you understand what it means to be uninsurable? And now we are to believe that a person who is supposed to have "milkmen," etc. in his life is going to receive medical care from said "milkmen" etc?

I am beginning to see that those who would deny others universal health care do not understand things. They don't get concepts like "uninsurable," "unable to pay off half a million dollar medical bill." Sheesh. It took 15 pages to get to this but I think it's clear now. Just plain stupidity with a dose of unkind thrown in for good measure.

And failed to the point?! Hey buddy, ever try getting health insurance if you have a history of cancer or diabetes? That is a person's failure?! Way to go! Kick someone when they've been down. Conservative compassionism at its finest!

They have an issue with using their money to help people they don't know.

No issues with using their money to bomb the crap out of people they don't know.

Some here seem to think that "Universal Health Care" and "Universal Health Insurance" are one and the same. They are not.

No one is denied Health CARE

Yeah, you have already made this point and I get it. Semantics aside, you know darn well that there are plenty of uninsured out there who would be buried by a huge medical bill - but this is something you don't seem to want to address as you are too caught up in ranting the same thing over and over.

Absolutely!

When I was a young single mom, I used to be on Medicaid. I switched it over to the HealthEase
WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

My children and I all got excellent health coverage and chose our own doctors. It is a terrific program and it is FREE! All a person has to do is qualify for Medicaid to get it.

Eventually I got a better job and was able to afford to pay for my own health insurance through my employer, but I can never say enough good about my previous HealthEase care. Sometimes I wish I still qualified....

WHY OH WHY do people continue to complain about insurance needs when Medicaid and HealthEase is available to any family who applies???

Really, well tell me where to sign up for it. Unless you mean AHCCCS, in which case one has to be indigent to qualify for.

Because it is NOT available to any family who applies. One has to qualify.
