There's more of that liberal "open mindedness" towards viewpoints other than your own.
Unlike people, all viewpoints are not created equal. See Evolution v Creationism. The garbage sinks, the cream rises. If you can't credibly defend your viewpoint, it deserves to go down in flames...

You will one day discover that us creationalism folks are right
Does that mean all black people are thugs? All Jewish people are tight? All Muslims are terrorists? All white people are in agreement with the KKK? Obviously these things are not true and it doesn't take much to realize that, yet you don't have any problems demonizing the whole GLBTQ community. How come people can do that with us and not other groups? I guess it's not difficult if you already think that none of us are Christians and our "lifestyles" are abominations. Kind of sets the stage for it.
I don't demonize the entire GLBT community. Just the militant movement that seems to be their voice.
Are you equally convinced from watching the Mardi Gras Parade that Christian women go around all day baring their breasts in exchange for cheap strings of beads?
No, but since most people are heterosexual, they know that the antics at Mardi Gras are not the norm.
Unfortunately, many heterosexuals only have vague ideas of what homosexuals are about, so when they see the flamboyant images from gay pride events (which are reported in the news every year), those are the images that remain in the minds of many heterosexuals.
On that point, a little irony: Twenty years ago, homosexual activists pressured the news media to cover gay pride events because they had often received little attention. Well, they got what they asked for, but now I have to wonder: Is it really a good idea to encourage flamboyant behavior at an event that you know is going to be featured on the 6 o'clock news?
Like it or not, homos are a minority. The opinions of the majority aren't everything, but they do matter.
Oh man. I'm starting to sound like a conservative. WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?! SOMEBODY - PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
No true Christian woman would participate in shameless displays such as Mardi Gras. I think events such as Mardi Gras and Spring Break antics are just as bad as gay parades.
Good, Connie. America will sleep better tonight knowing that you won't be bearing your breasts in public.
How can you blame people who aren't around gays much for forming their opinion of gay people based on what they see on the news?
But I thought conservatives preach that the media isn't worth paying attention to?
I guess they are (worth paying attention to) if they are showing flamboyant gay images, eh?
