That would be so easy.
Because so many states are against this as well. The Christian nut jobs in so many red states will only offer these rights, no matter what they're called, when forced by the Supreme Court. The same as when they were forced in the late 90s, I believe, to legalize gay sex between consenting adults. Several states still made sex between same sex partners (KS,TX,GA,AL,MS,OK...etc) a crime.

Sometimes I think if the people of, say, Kansas put it to a vote, they would pass creating Christian concentration camps for gay people where they would undergo "treatments" to turn them heterosexual

A suggestion on strategy - you don't do your cause any favors by bashing everyone and labeling them all Christian nut jobs. The majority of the country is not in favor of gay marriage, and they're not all "the religious right." The One even stated that he doesn't support gay marriage as did V-P Elect Biden.

The one? Is this "the one" who is falling back on his stance to tax the rich and give the middle class a tax break?

That is a great idea.

He wants to establish strong civil unions for gays which is fantastic.

Also gay sex in Texas is not against the law.

Why don't they just leave it to the individual states to figure it out, have referendums and they can choose to pass a Same Sex Partnership law or deny it. Then maybe we can quit babbling about micromanaging gay people and get back to real issues like radical Islam, the economic crisis, and illegal immigration. Oh wait...that'd actually be a real issue with real ramifications. I guess doing that would require us to take our heads out of the sand hole.

Well, thanks to a 2003 Supreme Court decision, consensual gay sex is legal in all the 50 states!

Why don't we create a State where gays can get their freak off without shame...
It is unethical to be gay, but America is slowly changing that idea
to aloud this type of behavoir.

This life style is totally wrong for our young to explore or understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

And let's also mention that that Supreme Court decision made heterosexual sodomy (oral and anal sex) legal in all 50 states too. It was a decision that was good for everyone.

Hard to believe that just five years ago, even heterosexual oral sex was still illegal in many states!
