If both sides in Massachusetts are throwing money around like crazy and people are coming into the state and eating (restaurants), drinking (bars) and sleeping (hotels) somewhere, is it good for Massachusetts' economy? Never thought of that before but close important governor/senate races might be good for the economy of that state. I bet the Massachusetts newspaper business and local TV are doing well because of it, too. Maybe, it's in a state's best interest to keep up the hype for a "close race." All I can say, if it isn't as tight an outcome as everyone has been saying, I'm going to wonder if some of the "tight race" to-do has been manufactured.
