He only cares about his money and oil. Why would he care about water that we drink?

He only cares about his war and killing more people.

That's what republicans want, no oversight, it's the base of their platform and that's why they're failures.

When you ask what Bush cares about, you have to go by the record. Eight years as President, and has he cared about anything else? I thought not. So just put water on the list!

No, he cares not about our water. He almost certainly is totally unaware of what is going on with any piece of legislation.

Because of the so-called "Clean Water Act", every household in Ohio (and it's coming to your state too, if it hasn't already) must upgrade their septic system (if your on city sewer, you don't need to worry), at a current cost of about $35,000 per system. You cannot sell your home without this upgrade, and if you're not selling, it will still have to be done eventually, or they willl condemn your home.

Not too many people have that kind of money laying around, or could afford a loan to do it.

They ought to do away with the EPA!

Time for a Fact Check, pal.

The Republicans did ask for more oversight and more regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. But the Democrats (I remind you that Barney Frank is Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee), who have had responsibility for these two entities refused, and claimed there was "no proble".

See where that got us? Yet YOU people blame Bush! Not only that, all these Democrats are still in control, and now are supposed to fix the mess they created? Give me a break.

As Jim Trificant used to say, "Beam me up, Mr. Speaker!"

Right. Get real and get a life. If it weren't for Bush, there would have been more attacks after 9/11, because Democrats wouldn't have done a damn thing.

nononsenseguy, you are so right. Liberals blame everything bad in the entire country on a Republican president who has no authority to legislate whatsoever. They sure are going to miss having a whipping boy when Bush is gone. Granted he hasn't been much of a president but to hold him totally to blame for the legislation coming from a Democratic Congress is just plain silly.
