I thought I was misreading the cover, then I thought there must be a catch. The cover of US News & World Report is Secrets of the Bible. Cover stories include How to Read the Bible, Jesus's Early Years, Why Angels Matter, etc.
The magazine has always focused on news, political, economic, health and education stories.
Whoa, where did this come from? Personally, I think it's pretty awesome. Have only so far glanced at the articles and they seem to be pretty balanced, not radical one way or another, etc.
Hmmmmmmmmmm???

Reason: typo
With all due respect to US News & World Report, when I want to get information on religion I think I'll either go straight to the Bible itself or a more trusted and reliable biblical source.
"Secrets of the Bible" in a nutshell - the more people there are on the planet, the more technology and education and experience we have - the human race is still pretty much the same emotionally and developmentally as we were in Old Testament times.
I wonder how many secrets were lost in translation in this seriously flawed book? On the bright side at least the "lost" books can't be twisted and taken completly out of context by the christian right.
Why is it that when people study the Bible, they almost never study the ORIGIN of the Bible or of the PEOPLE that wrote it????? They just study the Bible as though it's some kind of sacred thing. The people that wrote things that were later "canonized" were cave dwelling superstitious people that were scared of lightning, the dark, etc....
