A retired engineer from General Motors Corp. has launched a new Web site, Boycott Alabama, aimed at Republican Sen. Richard Shelby and the state he represents in Congress, Alabama.
Shelby has been an outspoken critic of Detroit's automakers, who have been seeking as much as $34 billion in bridge loans to stay solvent until the economy recovers.
The reincarnation of Robert E. Lee. Maybe, if the loan doesn't get passed, we should set up a "Hooverville" in his yard just as they dumped bodies in Lee's yard.
Shelby has no concern or insight to the damage he is causing. I hope the people of his state do not reelect him.
He has more support for foreign companies than those of his own country. (BTW most all of the other countries are bailing out or helping their auto manufacturers.)

We can call it "Shelby's Sanctuary".
Robert E. Lee was a GREAT man - a skillful warrior who was a man of honor and peace at heart, a decent and caring man whom BOTH SIDES wanted to command their troops, a man who was heartbroken when his native Virginia left the Union - but who (after much inner struggle) decided he simply had no choice to fight alongside his neighbors.
Widely respected and admired by BOTH sides for his skill and humanity, he was perhaps the greatest military commander the US has ever produced, a man idolized and studied by great military leaders such as Patton - and even Rommel.

Well, I never said Lee was fighting for the RIGHT side, but was rather just commenting on the General himself. As I mentioned, Lee was much respected and admired by BOTH sides - even at the level of the common soldier.
