Not nearly as much as the US Government did. They put Saddam in power , he was once the good guy, imagine that.

Exactly. The whole thing was just blowback. They put Saddam in power and gave him money and weapons to fight Iran but he went rogue and invaded Kuwait. I'm a history major and I've started to find that most conflicts are caused by blowback from actions that certain countries took. It's actually very interesting. But seriously, how could Washington not have seen that coming? Anti-Iran does not equal pro-America, hopefully we learn from our mistakes.

It would be the FIRST thing he's handled with class.

Oh, I think Washington did more than "see it coming." Since you're a history major, are you familiar with the name April Glaspie?

Talking We'll give him the boot

Iraq gave him the shoe; Americans are going to give him the boot in Jan. 09 8 years too late however.

I thought it was a riot and an entirely appropriate response to the most despicable failure of a U.S. President in history. Too bad the guy did not have a slightly better aim and had filled his loafers with dog doo-doo!!!!

No, I wasn't familiar with her, my concentration is generally early to mid 20th century (especially WWII, Pearl Harbor, and the Holocaust) so I looked her up and that is pretty interesting. I was confused about one part though. So did she basically imply that Saddam had a green light or was that simply some confusion between them? Like wouls she have told him he didn't have the green light if she knew that's what he was thinking?

I'd say this guy was far from a whack job. I'd say that his actions were accurate as to the way many people feel about Bush. "Hey Bush, if the shoe fits, wear it!"
Ever been to Egypt? If you go there don't let them pat your shoulder especially with their left hand. That is their way of calling you a dog. The left hand is the hand they choose to wipe their butt with making it an even worse insult.
Its their insults and to be honest I don't care what they find to be an insult. He through a shoe at Bush, and no doubt he was beaten like a dog for it. Hope it was worth it. For me I would call that a low class act. Not far above spraying graffiti on someones fence.
