So will the Maya prediction be right and all hell break loose on 2012 Dec 21?
Should I just sell everything and head to the Netherlands and party

As I understand it, there will be a dimensional shift. The hell you mention will precede it. You can either go with the change and accept it/assimilate it or be left behind until the next one happens, which apparently won't be for many many MANY years (I've read it's about 225 million years).

You should ask all of the people who really believed the world was going to end when we switched into 2000. Occasionally, I wonder how those people have fared. Were they disappointed, relieved, did they need to get some psychiatric care? If the world doesn't implode in 2012, maybe some of those people could counsel those scarred by the non-event.

No ;they still keep their supplies ready and their guns to protect it from the rioting masses.I guess they view it like being preapred for a hurricane or earthquake; where those that don't die have to be preapered to survive the after effects.

In this dimensional shift, will we get better choices of presidential candidates or will only the archie bunkers of the world survive?

I'm not sure whether it would be worth hanging around or not. meek shall inherit the earth but not the black hole?
ok ok, maybe I shouldn't cash in my 401k just yet. plus SS might get magically solvent all by itself. people get along better when mother nature smacks them in the head. this could definately have an upside.
