I see from my graph that most presidents have a similar downward trend from day one. The exceptions are Eisenhower, Reagan and Clinton, but note that Clinton's graph follows the same downward trend until 1995 when the Republican Revolution brought responsibility back to Washington and Clinton shamelessly took credit for the reforms he opposed. GWB's presidency was hijacked on 9/11. Prior to that, he was governing from the center in a responsible fashion. When Obama comes in, he'll do things in a nearly identical way as GWB because "change" is just a campaign slogan, the world is full of Muslim terrorists and, thanks to our one sided trade agreements and sloppy border control, we're broke.

Sorry if you didn't bother to invest during the Clinton era. If you had, you'd be comfortable....up until the end of the Bush administration, of course.

I didn't know liberals had an anti-investment platform. When did that start?

Newsflash: Both parties are pro-business because people with lots of money don't ***** and they can maintain the status quo.

Yep, I was so happy to hear that the NRA with their massive ad campaign was such a non issue.

I think you're going to see all that change under Obama.

Bush was an ideologue - and he was more President of his party's base, rather than President of the US...

Obama is going to get rid of the ideological my-party-above-my-country attitude in the White House, and will finally start levelling the playing field for American workers and the middle class...

I think you'll see job and income growth for the middle class flourish under Obama - whereas it absolutely stagnated under Bush. Bush never cared about the working class - they were foreign to his entire upbringing - and he regarded them merely as pawns to bring wealth to his real core - the elites and rich of the country - especially if they were Republican elites.

Should we post the congressional approval ratings for the last two (democrat controlled) years?

Congress: Job Ratings

Hasn't been above 44% in the last two years and mostly been in the teens and 20's.
