When I say this I'm referring to places that have traditionally been more right/left-wing. IE-the "Bible" Belt states like Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, etc. or do you prefer places that are more liberal in nature like the New England states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts...

This is not to say that everyone here predominantly has a conservative/liberal nature but it is more dominant than most places...

What would you say based off of your own experiences?

Since I am a liberal, I think the answer for me is obvious.

More conservative. In the process of doing that right now.

Conservative. Contemporary liberalism is analogous to mental illness. Hence why I live in Alaska where common sense still trumps the nonsensical "feelings" of the insane Left.

The more "conservative" an area in this country, the more you'll find its citizens are less educated, the more they are anti-science, the more they are regressive about change, and the more they want proven liars in the Republican Party to enrich themselves while sending the rest of this country down the tubes.

You can have your Dark Ages mentality, I'l live with the smart people (unlike where I live now)

But we all have to strive for something (or someplace) better, so thats what I'll do.

I would transform this question too: Would you rather live in a place like Communist Russia, or like America in the 1950s?

Me? In TN, TX, LA, or OK? I think I'd go to Canada first. There are many fine people in those states, but I cannot cotton their overall politics and the bible thumping ways of too many people there. Despite the cold and the cost, I'd take CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME any day over the southern climate and the southern conservatives.

As it is, I'm in COLO and love it here, a good balance of all things, and LOTS of tolerance for everyone.
