I had this conversation before the war in Iraq started with a republican.

The US is not a socialist country (government finds oil = shares wealth with average people)
The US is a capitalist country (government finds oil = give contracts to oil companies = oil companies get rich)

That's the problem with people in the US not understanding the concepts of socialism, capitalism, etc.
I was laughing hearing republicans say: "Let's take over Iraq and take their oil"
I kept on thinking: "Do you get ANY money from all the oil that the US produces and sells every single day?"
