Let's count the number of degrees of government B.S. found in this article:
1. Dubya Administration performed "aggressive interrogation tactics" against suspected terrorists. Most people term these activities 'torture'.
2. The CIA actually taped some the interrogations. The number of tapes made is not known yet.
3. The CIA subsequently destroyed some of the recordings. Today's news reveals a NEW NUMBER (larger than the OLD NUMBER) of known destroyed tapes. Maybe the number will change again in the future.
4. The ACLU attorney believes that the CIA should be held in contempt of court for holding back this information (which might change) for so long.
5. "The Dassin letter, dated March 2 to Judge Alvin Hellerstein, says the CIA is now gathering more details for the lawsuit, including a list of the destroyed records, any secondary accounts that describe the destroyed contents and the identities of those who may have viewed or possessed the recordings before they were destroyed. But the lawyers also note that some of that information may be classified, such as the names of CIA personnel who viewed the tapes."
6. The CIA promises to provide later even more information that has been requested.

I'm starting to really hope that some kind of justice comes out of it all. Maybe then we will be able repair the tarnished image left by the previous administration.

You better hope this country even survives The One and his administration, first, before you even begin thinking about so-called justice on the previous administration. dude.
